Construction Estimator
Company Overview: Our client has an exciting opportunity for an Construction Estimator with successful and progressive experience in performing accurate takeoff and pricing of the work, including all direct and indirect costs for concrete and commercial projects. The Estimator will direct all estimations for working on a bid, managing the preparation of a pre-bid schedule, and assisting with contacting, comparing, and selecting the appropriate subcontractors and vendors.
Position Summary: The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 1 year of field experience preferred but not required; new graduates encouraged!
Responsibilities:
• Work as integral part of our Estimating team to perform plan and specification analysis, takeoff and pricing of road, bridge, marine and other heavy/civil projects with values from $50K to $10 million
• Work with subcontractors and vendors to define scope, and perform subcontractor and vendor analysis
• Assist with all Estimating functions for Lump Sum, Design/Build and Unit Price projects
• Assist with the budgeting, purchasing and cost functions
