So what will you be doing all day? You would join us as a Construction Manager on Henderson Building Solutions (HBS) working on things like…
- Establishing excellent working relationships and rapport with clients to ensure exemplary client experience repeat business opportunities
- Establishing positive relationships with in-house engineering staff to facilitate support during pre and post contract activities
- Establishing bid strategies and providing project cost estimating support
- Serving as owner’s representative and ensuring the owner’s goals are met for the project
- Providing single point of contact throughout project life-cycle
- Joining and assisting site assessment teams in order to gather information and make recommendations during the assessment process (Master Plans, Energy Audits, Retrofit Assessments, etc.)
- Assisting in plan review during the design process to confirm good engineering practice, constructability, site logistics, serviceability, schedule and cost effectiveness
- Assisting in the evaluation of equipment and subcontractor proposals, verify scope of work, review and finalize equipment pre-purchase bid package
- Handling permitting proceedings and construction schedules
- Handling requests for information from on-site contractors
- Reviewing and negotiating change orders
- Closing out project documentation, O&M manuals, as-builts and punch lists
- Ensuring that our subcontractors are representing HBS in a manner that is consistent with core values
- Ensuring all applicable safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Continuously evaluating procedures and processes and make improvements when necessary so we are always aligned with client needs
- Ensuring that quality photos are taken of project progress and at completion for documentation and marketing purposes
- Putting client service at the forefront of the business
- Monitoring, measuring and modifying process and metrics to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs
- Establishing and providing daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports that will keep the leadership apprised of all operational aspects of the projects

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of construction or engineering preferred (Including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Engineering, and Construction Management)
- Years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of requisite education
- Have a minimum 5 years of experience required in construction and the design of building systems
- Technical expertise in primary fields of focus (mechanical and/or electrical) as well as familiarity with other related
- fields
- Have experience in assisting in managing projects from pre-construction through warranty through the use of all pertinent company processes, procedures and associated forms
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and to recommend and analyze pragmatic solutions for clients
- Are proficient in Primavera P6 or Procore
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards relating to the facilities in which we work.
- Have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining crucial relationships
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Anticipated salary range for this position may be $100,000 – $125,000
Salary may be higher or lower than the stated range depending on factors unrelated to the applicant’s race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ethnicity, age, or disability. Salary can vary from this range based on geographic cost of labor statistical differentials.
