Construction Management Representative for project at Martin Luther King Jr. Birth Home – Atlanta, Georgia
We are seeking a qualified individual to provide construction management professional services for the restoration and renovation of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birth home. This project offers a remarkable and captivating opportunity to contribute to the preservation of the childhood home of one of the most significant figures in American history. Therefore, our ideal candidate is someone who deeply appreciates and respects the legacy of this remarkable leader.
CM Requirements:
- Education and professional qualifications in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
- Professional qualifications related to OSHA, historical preservation, quality control and safety regulations.
- Experience with Construction including residential housing that are similar in scope, magnitude and complexity to the work outlined in the project description, especially on projects with compressed schedules, in close proximity to a busy residential area and park operations.
- Experience providing similar services for similar projects
- Minimum five (5) years Construction Management Experience.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare draft modifications, independent government estimates, responses to requests for information, process submittals, prepare field observation reports, review construction schedules, review completed work for construction contractor payment requests, and conduct progress meeting and prepare meeting minutes.
- Familiarity with the use of Project Management software programs (Offerors are to provide a Project Management Software package, per the SOS). Offerors familiar with the Federal, NPS and/or DSC policies, procedures and workflows may be rated more favorably.
- Historical Preservation Experience
- Historic structures and culturally significant sites.
- Residential construction c. Installation of new mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and fire alarm systems.
- Construction logistics and issues within urban residential neighborhoods including but not limited to traffic, deliveries, emergency vehicle access, parking, construction debris management, and noise.
