Chipton-Ross is seeking a Computer Operator 1 for a contract opportunity in Melbourne, FL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews input data to verify adequacy and appropriateness of material required
for data processing and related operations. Reviews output data to verify completeness, accuracy, and conformance to
quality standards and specifications. Maintains internal records and may catalog, disperse, and return tapes/disks. May
review daily processing logs and may set or revise schedules. Candidate must be able to work independently in support
of the Melbourne Mail department and be responsible for the coordination and distribution of U.S. Postal Service mail,
business and company correspondence, and inter/intra-company services. Duties will also include supporting Aerospace
Systems sector records management policies and procedures and must provide services to enable organizations to
comply with records information management and retention. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining the entire
life cycle of information from creation through use, storage, retrieval and final disposition for functional organizations such
as Corporate, contracts, finance, legal, technical, and vital records requirements.
May be required to assist with small and large format reprographics print operation. Must show strong professional and
communications skills for dealing with internal and external customers to include management
and employees within the facility. Displays the ability to multitask and perform many different duties.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
– High School Diploma/GED
– Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
PREFERRED:
– Demonstrated knowledge of USPS regulations
– Experience in Adobe Creative Suite such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop
– Experience operating digital printing and copying equipment without supervision
– Experience with small and large format reprographics print operation
EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED.
School must be accredited.
HOURS:
5/40 work week.
1st Shift
Evening and weekend hours may be required if needed.
