Kleinfelder’s Stockton, California is seeking an Entry Level Laboratory Technician to join our team.
We’re looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine testing of soils and construction materials in the laboratory in order to verify conformance to specifications and meet the rigorous schedule demand of our clients to join our growing Stockton Team!
Specific responsibilities include:
The Laboratory Technician will perform tests on soil, aggregate, concrete, and other construction materials and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor. This position may require travel from time to time.
Position Requirements:
- 0 to 3 years of construction materials and/or laboratory testing experience.
- Certification in Aggregate, Asphalt, Concrete and Soils testing preferred, or the ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
Other desired certifications include:
- ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician
- ACI Laboratory Testing Technician Level I, or
- Knowledge of relevant AASHTO and ASTM standards.
General knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Benefits: Kleinfelder offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, including: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid holidays. The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Scale Disclosure Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Hourly pay range: $20 – $30.
