The Role
As an Electrical Construction Project Manager, you will be playing a critical role in building various self-perform construction projects in the Fremont, California area. You will managing an internal Tesla Construction team and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with base build, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering while tracking a project’s schedule and budget.
Responsibilities
• Lead a team consisting of Project Coordinators, Buyers, Superintendents, and craft • Promote a safe and quality driven culture, both project and company wide • Conduct constructability reviews of design packages • Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project’s goals • Identify project risks and opportunities and actively manage through-out the project life cycle • Ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control requirements are achieved • Interface with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commissioning teams • Conduct Lessons Learned during and at the conclusion of each project • Enforce and maintain high quality standards for document configuration control. Ensure all RFI’s are incorporated into final Record drawings at project close-out • Ensure Change Control Management is adhered to for all new scope of work
Requirements
• At least 10 years of experience in the electrical field and 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager • Previous experience on $25M+ project • B.S. is preferred not requiredMBA or PMP preferred • Ability to provide material take offs and estimates from construction drawings • Ability to read, interpret, and manage wiring diagrams • Proficiency in Construction baseline development, change control, cost/schedule performance and variance analysis • Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills • Willingness to get your hands dirty as needed to complete objectives and lead your teams through challenging projects. • Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals. • Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and drive to continuously learn • Capacity to go above and beyond to support Tesla’s mission as required

- Expected Compensation
$72,000 – $210,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
