Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by three years of experience in construction management or design, or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Purpose of Classification:
The purpose of this classification is to perform construction and renovation projects for various Fulton County locations, departments, and personnel. Construction & Renovation Manager and Supervisor are distinguished from the Specialist position, in that the Manager and Supervisor perform supervisory duties, in addition to performing construction duties.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Manager directs all teams of workers at a construction site including Supervisors; tracks budget and expenses of project; sources equipment and materials to obtain lowest costs; ensures project stays on schedule for completion and stays in compliance with all regulatory codes.
Supervisor directs specific teams of workers to ensure job is completed according to standards and design; acquires any tools needed to accomplish tasks.
Performs all aspects of construction and renovations in building: demolition, structure framing, installs ceilings and plumbing, runs electrical wiring, paints, completes finish items to allow tenant to move into space; uses a variety of materials, such as wood, drywall, concrete, and fiberglass.
Reads blue prints closely to ensure accuracy of design, minimizing corrections to be made after a construction phase has been completed.
Assembles variety of structures to be used on construction site, such as concrete molds, scaffolding, and temporary buildings;
Cleans work area every day to ensure a safe environment for any building tenants, keeps tools properly maintained and in working order
