Role: Construction Staff Accountant
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
Pay Rate: $65k – $80k / yr

Our top client is looking for a skilled Staff Accountant with experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities to oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, and step in when/where necessary. This is a position that is built to GROW into an Accounting Manager and eventually an Assistant Controller.
Job Responsibilities:
- Weekly/daily AP processing for Overhead Departments and small entities
- Bank Statement Reconciliations
- Eventually processing all monthly General Ledger entries for Small Entities
- Recording Cash Receipts and Credit Card Receipts through POS system for Small Entity
- Filing Unemployment claim responses and reporting to State of Maryland
Requirements:
• Construction experience required
• 1-2 years of Construction payroll experience required
• Sage Timberline experience is a PLUS
