Consultant
Monitor, escalate, and remediate NAS & SAN access, performance and event alerts to identify and manage potential incidents. Provide SAN, NAS configuration and storage administration support. Implement, maintain, monitor, conduct performance tuning and upgrade of the storage environment. Design, configure, and administer, tune, optimize, and troubleshoot NFS/CIFS protocol on NetApp and EMC Isilon Storage arrays. Understand and troubleshoot the SMB, NFS, and CIFS shares networking protocol. Support Business Continuity planning and DR strategy, ensuring designs are considered by using NetApp Snap Mirror and Snapshot, plus Isilon SyncIQ and SnapshotIQ technologies. Perform Change and Incident Management for storage environment. Partner with project teams on deliverables including Support Documentation. May be assigned to and provide products/support to specific industry groups such as automotive, banking and finance, healthcare, insurance, and Information Technology.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related. Five (5) years of any occupation with Information Technology experience, or related. Five (5) years of IT experience, or related must include: Storage Management; Isilon NAS Administration; SAN Switch Management; DR Replication Knowledge; NetApp; and Pure Storage.
ALTERNATE EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Employer will accept No degree and seven (7) years of any occupation with IT experience, or related. Must have skills listed above.
Reports to company headquarters in Plano, TX. Will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S. for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S. Can work remotely or telecommute. Salary: $110,677 – $111,677 per year.
