Consumer Insights Manager II

The Consumer Insights Manager II applies an expert analytical approach to developing strategic and tactical insights for all relevant areas of the business which include Marketing (product, brand, retail, web, pricing/promo, & customer strategy), Sales Operations, Engineering, Customer Experience, and other functional areas in UScellular. Independently developing research projects as well as sharing results and implications with internal business stakeholders are core to the position. This position leverages a strong command of research acumen, cross-functional collaboration, strong presentation capabilities, well developed critical thinking skills and strong project management skills.

  • Manage and oversee the work of vendor(s) for insights gathering, including questionnaire development and data collection, as well as reporting and presentation of findings.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to deliver actionable insights on key strategic business areas of focus.
  • Drive holistic insights recommendations through expert synthesis of primary and secondary insights
  • Create comprehensive analyses, leveraging vendor insights as well as internal analytics and market intelligence, to inform stakeholders on consumer perceptions via actionable insights.
  • Present findings and implications to internal stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Leverage a strong command of research acumen and business knowledge to illuminate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Lead project plans and schedules to deliver projects on time.
  • Manage vendors to deliver high quality work, negotiate cost and manage budget for each project.
  • Collaborate with agency partners and internal analytics to develop insights frameworks that are tailored to business needs.
  • 6+ years work experience in Consumer Insights project development and management.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative Consumer Insights methodologies.
  • Project management experience.
  • Ability to lead custom research projects independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications abilities, with experience interacting with and presenting to all levels of leaders, conveying a confident command of research, business and insight knowledge.
  • Proven ability to translate research results into business implications and gain organizational alignment to recommendations; negotiation and influence skills and abilities.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A strong command of research acumen, strong presentation capabilities, well developed critical thinking skills and strong project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Master’s degree.
  • Vendor side experience
  • Client side or consulting experience.

Salary Range $81500 – $133167/yearly
