CreativeMornings is the world’s largest face-to-face, creative community. A beloved organization that gathers 20k creatives online and in-person in 200+ cities and 68+ countries, every month, for free. Our events are volunteer-led and fueled by radical generosity. Since 2008, CreativeMornings has provided an accessible and loving place for creative communities around the world to meet-up: to learn, to connect, and to get inspired.
We are hiring a Content Manager.
CreativeMornings is run by 1,000 volunteers and a full-time HQ of 9 big-hearted humans. This small but mighty HQ team, mostly Brooklyn-based, is looking for a full-time Content Manager to join our team. In this exciting role, you’ll set the tone for CreativeMornings’ global voice, selecting and writing about topics that will nourish and inspire our community of ~250K newsletter readers. As our Content Manager, you are responsible for curating and writing our beloved newsletter, our theme descriptions, and managing the content and social calendars for CreativeMornings and CreativeMornings’ partners.
If your friends and family were to ask what you do for a living, they could sign-up for our weekly newsletter and follow along on your adventures! (You can see at the bottom of our newsletters how our current Content Manager, Annie, signs them off in a very personal way. We are certain your people would be proud to see your name there, too!)
Are you our person?
You’re an ideal candidate for this role if your professional love language is the written word, and you write irresistible copy that inspires and delights. If you consider yourself insatiably curious, and are an omnivorous consumer-of and sharer-of intriguing curios and experiences across the internet. If you thrive on the responsibility of lifting-up creative makers and thinkers to our audience, and if you comfortably discern (from the many recommendations we get) which content would be resonant, nourishing, and useful to our community. If these “ifs” are you, then you may be our person.
You also have what it takes to be a super organized, strategic product manager/digital marketer, who is excited to use data and analytics to help shape the next generation of our beloved newsletter. (It has a 34% open rate and is the highest-value touch point in the CM universe for 25-30% of our ~500k community members). In this role you’ll be able to shape new ways our content can create connection and inspiration for our community.

- Actively participate in CreativeMornings/New York chapter events, including event announcements, event pages, and reminder and recap emails.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimized for all distribution channels.
- Ensure all external pages and channels are updated in line with brand guidelines and the most up -to-date information.
