How you’ll make an impact:

The Content Optimization Manager will be responsible for ensuring that data gets leveraged for optimizing editorial decision-making across the app on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. They will track and review a host of engagement metrics including CTR, impressions, user pathing, browse behavior, overall consumption and relevant learnings around A/B testing. The ideal candidate will be grounded in digital best practices, knowledgeable about engagement and promotional metrics, have an exceptional understanding of customer behavior and enjoy working collaboratively with people with both creative and technical roles.

What you’ll do:

  • Create, establish and maintain ongoing dashboard/reporting for both the app programming team to respond to and for broader internal socialization.
  • Perform direct database queries for advanced exploration and cohort analysis (e.g. lifecycle).
  • Regularly monitor and confirm veracity of data across multiple datasets
  • Field ad-hoc data requests for various App promotions for our internal team, as well as across the Programming Dept.
  • Assist with reports on promotional support for partners

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience
  • 3-5 years of analytics and/or data science experience, preferably in media
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Meticulous attention to details
  • Ability to parse large sets of data and identify key takeaways
  • Strong data presentation skills
  • Top-notch spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills
  • Strong interest in new media, music, entertainment, and sports
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priories
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot workflow issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with a number of different personalities
  • Ability to be flexible and professional under pressure and deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of SQL
  • Advance Excel knowledge including pivot tables, index/VLOOKUP, formatting, and temptlating – VBA a plus
  • A “Quick Study” for learning and applying new/unfamiliar tools and systems
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $56,000 to $80,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
