Content Writer, MatterMKTG – Denver, CO (Hybrid: In office Mon-Thurs)

We’re currently looking for a dynamic, results-focused Content Writer to join our MatterMKTG Team with the flexibility to be based in any Matter office. We are looking for a great storyteller with a keen eye for detail and an obsession for accuracy. The Content Writer will be responsible for strategy and creation of best-in-class content to maximize our clients’ success.

Here’s a mix of what you’ll be doing day to day:

Content Strategy

  • Lead strategic recommendations for content and understand the elements of content creation for demand generation goals, ensuring that our content library includes pieces at each stage of the funnel from awareness to consideration to conversion.
  • Work closely with the Integrated Strategy & Creative team to create content schedules and own the planning, writing and development for content including but not limited to thought leadership, informational/marketing materials, webpages, monthly newsletters, emails, blogs, whitepapers, and other content pieces.
  • Conducts interviews, when needed, with subject matter experts within client’s business to produce technically oriented content pieces.
  • Identify gaps in content and make recommendations to improve the content marketing and demand gen programs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for any content-related requests.

Content Execution

  • Produce well-researched, well-written content for publication online and in print based on developed strategies.
  • Understand established key performance indicators (KPIs) and offer insightful suggestions for improvement.
  • Ensure content consistency by always representing our clients’ tone, style and image.
  • Partner with creative team on developing content materials to be sure that designs are in alignment with the brand look & feel.
  • Work in tandem with SEO team for best practice strategies in writing to maximize the online visibility in search results.
  • Support the overall integrated team in maintaining quality control standards in material development, including social content, briefings, emails, PR, ABM, reporting.
  • Raise Matter’s digital IQ internally by identifying best practices and tools as they relate to content. Keep up to speed with the latest developments in Content Marketing and identify new opportunities to improve our demand gen program effectiveness.

Along with creativity, drive, and self-motivation, your previous experience and attributes will include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in B2B content writing and editing; experience in high-tech industries a plus.
  • Ability to think big picture about content marketing programs and how content can support marketing campaigns
  • Strong ability to translate complex concepts into relevant, accessible content for diverse audience groups and multiple digital platforms. Ability to collaborate well with designers and communicate visual direction to designers clearly and effectively
  • Meticulous attention to detail to drive flawless execution
  • Ability to interpret and channel feedback into strengthened messaging
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently in a fast-paced agency environment with a willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management
  • Positive, creative thinker with a strong work ethic and passion to help others
  • Curiosity about the ever-changing content landscape, and desire to share latest industry trends and developments with broader team

Compensation: The pay range for this role is between $60,000-$65,000 based on experience.
