JOB SUMMARY:

The Contents Restoration Technician is a full time non-exempt position. The person in this position works with the Contents Department primarily but not exclusively. The Contents Restoration Technician is skilled in the completion of complex contents Pack Outs. Assists the project management staff in responsibilities that relate to the execution of warehouse management, pack outs, contents assessment, and structural cleaning and deodorization. In addition, the Contents Restoration Technician will potentially be called upon to assist with all other aspects of the restoration industry depending on current needs and workloads (Demo, mitigation, punchlists, etc)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Transportation of contents/materials in a box truck
  • Jobsite Management and direction of sub laborer
  • Communication with property owners
  • Disassembly and assembly of basic furniture and appliances
  • Assist in managing the warehouse and inventory flow
  • Packing, unpacking, moving of contents and furniture (must be able to lift 70-75 pounds).
  • Continuous training for upward mobility in the company

Skills Imperative to The Job:

  • Good oral and verbal communication
  • Competent with basic handheld tools and power tools
  • Work well with a team of subcontractors/employees
  • Self-starter, great organizational skills and planning
  • Able to lead a team of 4-6 people

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

We will provide the training for the right candidate. IICRC certifications and Forklift Certifications are desirable but not required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization.

Spanish is not required but is a huge asset in the industry.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

REASONING ABILITY:

Possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to visit project sites that have incurred catastrophic events from fire, water, and storm damage and could require accessing roofs, which they need to be able to carry a 40′ ladder from their truck and setting it up at the roof line of the associated property. The employee must be able to carry a minimum of 50 pounds in weight for the purpose of getting material to a specific place on the project site.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Appropriate safety equipment is furnished.
