The Continuing Education Registration Specialist supports Career and Technical Education with integrity and ensures that excellent customer service is provided throughout the division.

Essential Duties
Continuing Education Related Duties – 85%
- Process student course registrations and payments following Business Office procedural requirements
- Coordinate Alive@25, Defensive Driving, and Notary classes to include contracts, room assignments, class paperwork processing, and agency requirements/reporting for each.
- Serve as Ed2Go Program Administrator for CTE
- Administer ACT WorkKeys testing in Harnett County
- Update student information in Colleague/Datatel -Prepare and process course paperwork for Harnett CE offerings
- Confirm classes with instructors and students
- Process cancellations as appropriate.
- Prepare and disseminate Harnett County course schedule and other marketing material as appropriate
- Train staff on registration and receipting processes, and other procedures as needed
- Perform daily cash balancing/receipting/deposit tasks following Business Office procedural requirements
- Anticipate semester enrollment surges and coordinate coverage as warranted
- Maintain records and other documentation
- Appropriately handle, transfer and maintain confidential hard/electronic class files, keeping private data secure
- Process daily interoffice mail
- Maintain supplies, forms and marketing displays; order supplies and rack cards as needed
Administrative Support Related Duties – 15%
- Perform employment paperwork/I-9 processing for new Harnett County adjunct employees; submit hiring paperwork accordingly following HR procedural requirements
- Assist with projects as necessitated (e.g. conducting research, information gathering and analysis, etc.)
- Maintain positive working relationships with internal (e.g. Business Office, CE Registrar and Auditor, etc.) and external (e.g. students, 3rd party payers, guests, etc.) partners
- Provide back-up switchboard and front desk coverage
- Develop ongoing knowledge of all College programs
- Participate in Committees, or assist with meeting notes, as requested
- May assist in coordination of special events
- Perform other duties as required

Minimum Requirements
Required educational background:
- Associate Degree
Required kind and number years of work experience:
- Minimum of five years administrative experience.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in technology (Microsoft Office Suite);
- Ability to undertake multiple tasks, set priorities, and
- meet deadlines.
Preferred Requirements
- Previous continuing education experience
- Active Notary certification
