JOB SUMMARY

  • Supports executives and managers in executive offices and service units to lead continuous improvement initiatives that enable increased organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Performs a wide range of activities associated with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts research, identifies organizational needs, and prepares cost/benefit analyses associated with potential changes and develops recommended changes.
  • Facilitates teams through improvement activities including LEAN events, data analysis, development of new processes or SOPs, and benchmarking methods.
  • Provides support to UTA Continuous Improvement (CI) Team members on projects, as a mentor, via CI and Culture training.
  • Conducts CI module training for users throughout the organization.
  • Helps identify and redefine performance measurements and goals.
  • Ensures improved performance of UTA by supporting and enabling large scale initiatives impacting UTA’s organizational effectiveness.
  • Works closely with members of the Organizational Excellence, Organizational Development, and Talent Development teams to implement initiatives.
  • Partners with Sr. CI Consultants with complex CI tasks to develop, support, and implement optimal solutions for organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implements and engrains the UTA Way into daily work activities, training content, and culture initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field, Business Administration, Process Engineering, or related field. Master’s Preferred.
  • Training in LEAN, Six Sigma, and/or Shingo.
  • UTA Continuous Improvement Expert preferred or Green Belt certification equivalent.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint and presenting virtually preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years experience in process/continuous improvement and/or organizational effectiveness strategy.
  • Minimum of one year (two years preferred) project management experience including coordinating and managing projects/teams, follow up, completion, and implementation.
  • Experience using problem solving techniques and business analysis tools critical to continuous improvement processes required, such as LEAN, Shingo, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, SWOT Analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and advocate for business recommendations and financial solutions.
  • Strong analytical, organization, interpersonal, and communication (written and oral) skills.

Pay Rate: Starting at $61,500.00 based upon experience
