Arcadis has been shortlisted by the Gateway Development Commission to receive an invitation to submit a proposal in response to a request for proposals (RFP) to serve as a Project Delivery Partner (PDP) in connection with the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). We are seeking to engage with technical experts excited by this opportunity who would like to join our locally based teams in New York and in New Jersey.

Role description:
As a Contract Management and Contract Solutions Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and preparing complex construction delay, disruption, acceleration, and cost claims. Your role will involve conducting construction schedule reviews for ongoing projects, providing opinions and advice on project progress, and strategizing to resolve, manage, and mitigate claims. Your expertise in project controls, delay analysis, and contract change management will be critical in pre-empting, addressing, and negotiating claims and defaults related to projects with a focus on rail, heavy rail, heavy civil work, and federal funding. You will report to the Dispute Resolution Manager, who oversees the activities related to claims and disputes involving contractors and other project team members.
Role accountabilities:
- Claims Analysis and Preparation: Analyze and prepare complex construction delay, disruption, acceleration, and cost claims, taking on full responsibility for smaller claims and leading larger claims.
- Negotiation Support: Prepare reports and present findings to assist in claim negotiations with opposing parties, contributing to resolution efforts.
- Construction Schedule Review: Perform construction schedule reviews for ongoing projects, providing expert opinions and advice on project progress and forecasts.
- Contract Interpretation: Read contract language, determine proper interpretation, and apply it to relevant facts to address contractual issues.
- Claim Management: Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to resolve, manage, and mitigate claims effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree: Hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Relevant Experience: Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls, delay analysis, productivity analysis, and resolution of claims and disputes.
- Project Management Experience: Have an additional 6 combined years of experience in project management, CPM scheduling, and/or contract change management.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using Primavera P6, Excel, Word, and Outlook for analysis and reporting.
- Professional License/Certification: Hold at least one relevant professional license or certification, such as PE (Professional Engineer), CCM (Certified Construction Manager), PMP (Project Management Professional), PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional), or AIA (American Institute of Architects).

We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15-20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $103,000 – $264,000.
