Job Summary:
Supermicro has an immediate need for a Legal Contract Specialist to join our growing in-house Legal Team. We’re looking for a professional who has the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and good business sense. This position is based in our San Jose headquarters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for reviewing, processing and administering Nondisclosure Agreements, Cooperation and Sales Agreements, MOU’s, MOA’s, Teaming Agreements, etc.
- Drive internal contract review process, including analyzing and interpretating complex provisions, follow-up in document revisions to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Identify both business and legal issues and articulate same to the company’s various internal clients and stakeholders.
- Serve as liaison between various internal departments, such as Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, Accounting and proactively deliver timely, pragmatic, and business-oriented advice to reflect and align with company policies.
- Organize, maintain, and review non-litigation materials and Intellectual Property documents as needed.
- Build and maintain effective communication to ensure fast turnaround of internal requests.
- Provide general support to the legal team and assist on special projects and department initiatives. Ability to manage contract activities in multiple time zones.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS and 4+ years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts or equivalent, preferably in the hi-tech industry. Junior level attorney with commercial contract experience and JD candidates with interest in business will also be considered.
- Strong communication (written) and influence skills.
- Strong understanding of contractual terms and business processes.
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Team player who can work well with colleagues in technology, legal, finance, marketing, human resources, and other functions.
- Demonstrated willingness to identify and act on ways he or she may assist others to accomplish corporate goal.
- Possesses a high level of professionalism, integrity, reliability, discretion and confidentiality.
- Open and honest in communications with all stakeholders, legal colleagues, management, internal business clients, auditors, regulators, and others.
Salary Range
$100,000- $136,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
