The successful candidate will be responsible for the review and administration of financial terms in complex revenue generating contracts in accordance with agreed upon contract language, ordinance, or tariff. This person will also review established practices and procedures in search of improvements, efficiencies, and cross department alignment.
Summary of Essential Responsibilities

  • Invoicing/Rate Adjustments/Collections
    • Generate timely and accurate monthly billing in J.D. Edwards (JDE) in accordance with individual lease language, ordinance, or tariff for the organization’s operating departments (Aviation, Marine & Industrial Development, and Navigation).
    • Calculate lease rate adjustment and ensures that they are handled in accordance with specific lease language (CPI’s, FMV’s, MAG’s, etc.).
    • Utilize Port’s existing collections tools (i.e., statements, delinquency letters, delinquency invoices, property manager notification and involvement, default letters, etc.) Follow up with customers on collection issues.
  • Database Maintenance
    • Update and maintain web-based JDE database (Property Management, Accounts Receivable, and Sales Order modules).
  • Draft Lease Review
    • Provide stakeholder review of revenue generating contracts from finance perspective.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Ensure lessee complies with all monthly and annual reporting financial requirements.
    • Design and update reports with revenue generating contract information to management.
  • Security Deposits
    • Collect and maintain customer security deposits (cash, bonds, letters of credit) in accordance with individual lease language.
    • Calculate deposit adjustments as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements/Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or related field.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ related experience in contract administration. Or, the equivalent combination of education and/ or relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of is preferred:
    • Property management principles
    • Accounting principles
    • Systems and process flow
  • Advanced knowledge of is desirable:
    • JDE-Property Management, Sales Order and Accounts Receivable modules
    • Financial and spreadsheet software
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Learn and apply Port’s financial structure and policies (i.e. funds, business units, chart of accounts, etc.).
