Contracts Manager

Description

As a member of the Legal team, this individual will provide high-quality support to the organization. The Contracts Manager works independently, reporting to the Associate General Counsel, while also working closely with several functions, including the finance, legal, business development, marketing and product development teams. This position involves liaising with internal stakeholders and external customers, suppliers and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, professional services agreements, purchase agreements, engagement letters, statements of work, purchase orders, amendments/renewals and other business/legal documents.
  • Identify and advise internal clients on risks associated with transactions and propose practical and strategic solutions in connection with commercial transactions.
  • Support various aspects of the contract management process, including use and management of the company’s contracts management application; maintain and ensure up-to-date documentation and records.
  • Provide contract status reports and project management accountability.
  • Act as main point of contact for contract administration.
  • Working on special projects, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree from accredited institution.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant transactional experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements.
  • Knowledge of local, California, and federal business statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision and to move projects forward to completion.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and ability to prioritize responsibilities while being very detailed-oriented.
  • Excellent use of English language.
  • Deep understanding of contracts, contractual language, and contract lifecycle.
  • Critical thinking skills to research legal and financial implications and minimize risk to the company.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient understanding of business sensitivities; ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred

  • Experience working with outside counsel and managing contracts worldwide is preferred.
  • Experience with contract management software is preferred.

Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base pay range for this position is $120,000 – $135,000. A range of factors, including location, skills, and experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
