Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented Contracts Manager to be based in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA to support Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology business, a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology uses computer vision, sensor fusion and machine learning to provide an innovative shopping experience allowing consumers to enter a store, grab what they want and get going.
Key job responsibilities
We’re looking for a Contracts Manager to help support Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology product and sales teams. In this role, you’ll support several teams across product development, hardware procurement, engineering and sales. You will work directly with internal business clients to advise on challenging legal issues related to the development and sale of the Just Walk Out products and services. You will also support the Just Walk Out technology sales and marketing team negotiating sales contracts for the Physical Stores Technology business.
Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements (including main service agreements, purchasing agreements, services agreements, nondisclosure agreements and other commercial contracts), as well as helping to simplify existing contracting processes.
The successful candidate is inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, and demonstrates sound judgment, even in ambiguous situations; manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; take effective action without having to know the total picture; and think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The candidate will also be client-service oriented, have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organization skills, and have the ability to easily switch gears. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 4+ years of contracts management, paralegal or other comparable experience within a law firm or legal department
• Bachelor’s Degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• In-house legal experience a plus
• Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, detail driven, and professional demeanor
• A passion for building trust with internal and external stakeholders by being proactive and innovative in solving problems that affect stakeholders and customers
• A proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• A desire to grow professionally as the role’s responsibility grows rapidly with the business Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and computer skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
