Contracts Senior Advisor

The Contracts Senior Advisor will manage the contractual process with OSU CHP project contractors. This position is located in Columbus, OH at the Ohio State University and will report to the Director of Energy Solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Project Manager at The Ohio State University (OSU), in-house and external legal counsels, manage the CHP and DHC construction contracts toward the goal of completing the project as quickly as possible at the lowest cost
  • Assist the Project Manager for compliance with the construction contracts
  • Communicate and record all and any deficiencies by the contractors to get them corrected, or at a minimum, protect ENGIE’s rights to successful claims
  • Ensure that project correspondence between ENGIE and contractors, and other stakeholders (e.g. The Ohio State University) will support the successful completion of the project and protect ENGIE’s rights
  • Support the ENGIE capital improvement team on the Law Center at Georgetown University project with construction contract development, tendering, execution, and management, with occasional travel to Georgetown campus in Washington, D.C.
  • Provide feedback to the Contracts Management Team within the Central Capex Organization to support our learning organization initiative

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or law major, or equivalent demonstrated experience required
  • A minimum ten (10) year’s experience required with a preference for those with previous experience in developing, negotiating, and managing industrial construction projects
  • Experience presenting and speaking publicly to senior executives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time

  • Salary Range: $105,910-$270,530, annually
  • Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
  • In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
