The Controls Engineer will be pivotal in enhancing plant productivity through the design, implementation, and maintenance of control systems and machinery. The responsibilities of the Controls Engineer involve research, design, maintenance, and management of the development of complex machinery and control systems.

Job Description:

  • Lead engineering and automation teams in concept planning, configuration, and development of control systems.
  • Test and troubleshoot various mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.
  • Provide technical support and instruction to team members, fostering knowledge sharing.
  • Implement and develop designs for PLC and ControlLogix programming, Servos, VFDs, and hardware.
  • Review and maintain systems, identifying opportunities for design enhancements and incorporating industry trends.
  • Verify the functionality of programmed operations through rigorous testing.
  • Design, implement, and maintain processes that boost productivity.
  • Offer creative solutions to challenges and contribute to the development of predictive maintenance plans.
  • Analyze plant processes, design improvements, and oversee their implementation.
  • Address hardware and process issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to detect problems and implement solutions.
  • Uphold quality and safety standards in all activities.

Controls Engineer Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of Fanuc and Mitsubishi Control Systems and related equipment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a related field, demonstrating a strong track record.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications such as AutoCAD.
  • Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
