Overview
The Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Portion control, food waste and sanitation are additional areas that the Cook must be aware of while operating in the kitchen.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $22.00 to $30.00.

Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and assignments as delegated by the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.
- Properly rotate food products to include dating, labeling and storage, and be able to assess freshness and quality of food.
- Ability to effectively see a project through from beginning to end including, proper station maintenance and clean up upon project conclusion.
- Season and garnish all foods as per event requirements.
- Fulfills the service per each Banquet Event Order.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary workstation and kitchen environment.
- Follow all rules and regulations of the Lynnwood Convention Center
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
Qualifications
- Must possess strong knife skills
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communications and team building skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Must be detail-oriented
- Certification of course completion from an accredited culinary school, college, or technical school is preferred
- Three (3) of more years of hands-on experience is preferred.
- Must have current food handlers permit.
- The ideal candidate must have a flexible schedule.
- Must be able to take direction and work positively in a team environment.
