JOB GOAL: The Coordinator of Research and Evaluation directs, coordinates, and oversees the development and implementation of programs and services for district testing and assessment; enhancing learning opportunities for students and families; monitoring progress and effectiveness of site programs and providing professional and administrative assistance at all levels and staff assistance to the district leadership in the areas of research, evaluation and accountability
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Arizona Teacher Certificate
- Master’s Degree required
- Administrative Certificate preferred
- Experience working with teaching, coaching, and mentoring teachers
- Experience in designing, creating, and delivering innovative instructional materials and programs on the use of technology to enrich teaching and enhance learning
- Experience analyzing assessment data
- Effective organizational planning and project management skills
- Experience in working collaboratively with a wide variety of administrators, faculty, and staff, and others in multiple departments across the District.
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Required to pass a criminal history background check
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-Month 260 Days
COMPENSATION: $76,533 – $104,786
BENEFITS: As per District policy
REPORTS TO: Elementary and Secondary Assistant Superintendents

HOURS: 40 hours per week and may require longer hours
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Coordinates all administration of AASA, AzSCI, ACT, ACT-Aspire
- Coordinates assessment responsibilities among Pearson and ADE
- Facilitates DAC committee meetings and supports all DAC procedures
- Plans, develops, and facilitates the coordination of School City benchmarks and pre/post exams
- Work to provide highly effective teacher evaluation data with the Assistant Superintendents
- Support the new teacher induction program
- Coordinates assessments and training for Fast Bridge, School City, and State Assessments and compiles data reports to share with principles, administration, and teachers
- Keeps current with state academic content standards, benchmarks, and indicators
- Coordinates district-wide assessment programs; monitors effectiveness of instructional interventions in achieving continuous and measurable improvements in student achievement
- Encourages innovations, analyzes data to improve school operations, serves as an information resource, and assists in developing and implementing the district’s strategic plan
- Pursues growth opportunities that enhance professional performance and advance district goals
- Develops and maintains positive rapport with all stakeholders and serves a positive role model for others
- Recommends curriculum changes based on assessments for the purpose of improving student academic performance and complying with relevant local, state and federal regulations
- Collaborates with the AZ Department of Education, other administrators, personnel and outside organizations for the purpose of coordinating activities and programs, resolving issues and receiving/conveying information
- Develops and monitors district testing schedule(s) for the purpose of ensuring effective and efficient academic testing services are maintained with all relevant regulations
- Creates interactive dashboards for achievement metrics, district-wide KPIs, and survey data.
- Supports the Mastery Learning Model through training and support of school data specialists.
