About the Role
This is a support role, assisting the account teams with basic administrative and other support functions in the team’s day-to-day servicing of clients. The coordinator will gather and input data into spreadsheets and agency systems, take notes on calls, manage voicemail and email messaging for sales, and participate in special projects and trainings with the team that will assist in their learning and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• May have direct contact with vendors for simple questions or requests
• Routes incoming phone messages and sales inquiries
• Assists team in answering administrative questions from clients (i.e. ID cards, claim processing)
• Creates and maintain electronic client files in accordance with office procedures. Periodically reviews carrier data and updates Agency Management Systems
• Review incoming applications for accuracy and completion.
• Perform data entry of new leads, applications and clients.
• Sends communications and updates to clients and prospects regarding quotes, application status and enrollment
• Learns to do basic policy review; will gain understanding of basic industry concepts, and carrier products and services
• Assists team in scheduling meetings and calls as their first client interaction
• Assists Account Teams in their preparation for client meetings. May assist in reviewing presentations and communications for formatting and verification of rates/benefits.
• Assist in coordinating client mailings, communications or packets related to Open Enrollment, as directed by the Account Team.
• Assists Account Managers with implementation of new business, and group application completion and processing as directed by the Account Manager
• Assists in research of questions regarding benefits and vendor/carrier products and services.
• Assists with problem resolution on billing and eligibility issues with carriers
• Create and maintain files and client data; maintain client data, as directed by Account Manager
• Assist Account Managers, Specialists, and others in the office with administrative duties.
• Participate in training regarding carrier products and systems
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
• Ability to work independently and anticipate client and team needs
• Effective time management and decision making skills
• Diligent follow up skills
• Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Education and/or Experience
• High School graduate or equivalent
• 0-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The base salary range for this position is $ 41,000 – $69,000 . The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
