Position Title: Coordinator Workplace Compliance ADA (LSC)

Position Summary

The Coordinator Workplace Compliance ADA will primarily assist the Analyst of Workplace Compliance (ADA) with the Americans with Disability Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) interactive process and Light Duty for JetBlue Airways. These duties include coordination and maintenance of all correspondence and communication of any decisions to all relevant parties. The Coordinator will also maintain the various personnel policy guidelines including the Crewmember BlueBook and the individual department specific supplements, and other guidelines that may be established.

The Coordinator must be comfortable working independently and is an engaging professional whose personal values match JetBlue’s values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review and communicate with Crewmembers and relevant stakeholders regarding ADA-related requests, accommodations, and Light Duty to applicable parties
  • Assist with the tracking of ADA and Light Duty requests and relevant information to ensure deadlines are met
  • Work closely with the Position Expectations and Questionnaires to ensure compliance with ADA guidelines and International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) standards
  • Responsible for the centralized depository for outreach and good faith efforts, including ongoing maintenance and periodic summary reporting for affirmative action planning purposes
  • Coordinate annual and off cycle updates to the People Policy and Process templates
  • Develop and maintain Compliance team SharePoint site to be a resource for the team
  • Assist with the creation of various compliance dashboards
  • Assist with Vets In Blue and Reaching Blue Heights initiative including recruiting events, customer facing events and community events
  • Ensure all internal communication and policies are up-to-date with the latest regulations and procedures (Crewmember Blue Book and sub handbooks etc.)
  • Review and track changes to the various employee relations manuals
  • Amend the manuals on both a scheduled-basis and ad-hoc as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • One (1) year in Human Resources or related experience
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently
  • Detail oriented with the ability to think critically
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, presentation and communication skills
  • Available for moderate overnight travel (25%)
  • Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

    • Valid certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
    • Prior experience with the American’s with Disability Act accommodation process
    • Experience with latest regulatory changes and reporting obligations related to affirmative action and equal employment opportunity
    • Experience using Microsoft SharePoint
    • Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Recruitment Management Systems (i.e. SAP/Success Factors)
    • Prior working knowledge of Federal Contractor obligations

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $58,500.00 and $77,800.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
