Job Description:
Do you believe in the power of education and want to share that belief with prospective students? We’re looking for a copywriter to play a pivotal role in helping students discover the endless possibilities offered by the University of Florida. The Division of Enrollment Management is seeking an experienced copywriter to join the Enrollment Marketing and Communications team to help recruit students by delivering high-quality storytelling and compelling marketing copy across a variety of channels and platforms. The copywriter will craft engaging and persuasive content that showcases the unique strengths of UF’s programs, faculty, and campus community. They will create and edit content that resonates with our target audience, especially prospective students and their families. The ideal candidate will ensure the writing connects on a personal level. This position will have the chance to make a real impact on individuals’ lives and contribute to the growth of our university.
Responsible for drafting targeted and purposeful content while maintaining university brand and editorial standards. This includes but is not limited to, marketing collateral copy, digital ads, video scripts, press releases, email communications, and website content, among other materials. Responsible for translating complex content into easy-to-read copy with user experience as a top priority. Must be detail-oriented with the ability to proof and edit.
This position may be eligible for a flexible, hybrid work arrangement in accordance with the University of Florida and Division of Enrollment Management’s policies.
Expected Salary:
$50,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; or an associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher education, publication, or agency experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to be resourceful, proactive, and seek assistance as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
- Experience working in HTML/CSS.
- Experience with Slate and/or Salesforce.
- Knowledge of email compliance regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
