Develop, coordinate, and direct public relations, social media and media relations strategies that support Clean Energy by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Plan and implement organization’s public relations strategies, policies, and procedures.
Become the voice of Clean Energy on multiple social media platforms including Twitter and LinkedIn and engage other industry participates in Clean Energy’s businesses, policy objectives and other priorities.
Represent company to the press and public by acting as a chief corporate spokesperson.
Field and direct responses to all media-related inquiries.
Research and write copy for corporate promotional materials. Review and analyze the suitability of company publications, reports, and research data before release to the public.
Prepare and distribute news releases, photographs, fact sheets, etc. to media representatives and other interested parties.
Assess public attitudes toward the company and company products and develop programs to promote favorable attitudes.
Develop contacts and relationships with media representatives to create opportunities for keeping the company and its products or services in front of public and the trade.
Maintain database of public relations and media contacts.
Advise on the preparation and presentation of product or service information at trade shows, displays, and exhibits.
Develop ideas and opportunities for feature articles, interviews, presentations, and other public relations activities that promote awareness of the company and its products or services.
Manage the relationship with outside public relations agencies and other external firms.
Assist and coach company staff with public speaking engagements, presentations, and media interviews.
Arrange for company, station and plant tours.
Help develop and conduct customer opinion surveys and manage public relations aspects of customer testing programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities
As the Corporate Communications team expands, there could be opportunity to directly supervise employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field plus 7+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Advanced knowledge of Social Media. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
