Job Description
About the Position:
The Confirmation Specialist is an essential part of Dunn Lumber’s purchasing process. Reviewing and confirming vendor purchases this position checks for the correct products, quantities, pricing accuracy, and drop location. The Confirmation Specialist follows up on errors and discrepancies, reaching out to the appropriate Dunn Lumber Co. Sales/Inventory people and external vendors to resolve these issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Consistently checks for emailed confirmations. Working with the other Confirmation Specialists
- Communicates with Salespeople, Inventory, and Vendors via email and phone
- Completes daily workflow in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy
- Checks all incoming Purchase Order Confirmations for accurate Products ordered, Quantities, Pricing, Backorders, Locations, and Dates
- Other duties as assigned
This is a Full-Time job working 40 hours per week with overtime eligibility!
Store Hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am-5:00pm.
Qualifications
Qualifications for an entry level Confirmations Specialist position may include:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements.
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with clients and colleagues.
Additional Information
This is an entry level position with a paid two-week training period and continued learning while employed. The two-week training is completed on site with your supervisor or at a Training Yard with the Training Department. The training for this position will focus on the confirmation process, corporate operations, and purchase order processing.
This position is in a yard/retail environment. This position is largely active and requires employees to be on their feet for most of the shift. The noise level is moderate to loud.
