Our industry-leading client has an exciting opening for a Corporate Counsel Attorney to join their growing team in Glens Falls, NY.
Responsibilities of a Corporate Counsel Attorney:
- Draft, review, edit and negotiate all types of contracts
- Oversee and resolve contract and other legal disputes
- Help organize, structure, and manage a portfolio of affiliated entities
- Assist with corporate governance for a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit entities
- Assist with regulatory and compliance matters including policies and conflicts
- Research and analyze various legal issues and prepare memoranda of law
- Prepare legal documents and forms for internal and external use
- Interact effectively with internal departments and external agents and counsel
- Assist General Counsel with all other legal matters as required
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Details:
Qualifications of a Corporate Counsel Attorney:
- Juris Doctor with 7+ years’ practice in the areas of contracts and commercial transactions
- Extensive experience with a wide variety of contracts, contract issues and contract negotiations
- Previous practice in a healthcare organization or healthcare legal department strongly preferred
- Significant experience in corporate governance, not-for-profit, technology and privacy law
- Experience with corporate transactions, commercial real estate and tax issues preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to establish and build strong working relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
