Corporate Counsel, NA Stores

Come help us build the most seamless selling experience in retail, supporting Amazon’s Selling Partner Services team. As an attorney on our NA Stores team, you’ll function as business line lawyer supporting the end-to-end selling partner experience across various Amazon tools and experiences, including Seller Central and selling partner support. You will have the opportunity to influence the policies and sellers’ experiences that power the small and medium-sized businesses, changing the lives of these business owners. You will both coordinate and interact directly with cross-functional global legal and business teams within Amazon to help build, develop and manage new solutions that allow Amazon’s sellers to connect with consumers, identify opportunities to grow their businesses and get intuitive support when needed, as well as educating and coaching your clients on relevant regulations and laws. You’ll join a team of experienced and dynamic professionals responsible for other aspects of Amazon’s selling services globally.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• A law degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar or foreign equivalent
• 5+ years of legal experience
• Experience counseling business partners and managing outside counsel support
• Experience leading investigations
• Experience with managing and advising on global disputes and issues, including negotiations to resolve 3P disputes
• Creativity, attention to detail, commitment to customer service, and excellent communication skills
• Ability to understand and resolve complex legal and business issues
• Ability to effectively translate commercial and litigation issues to members of the creative, technology, business, management and other legal teams
• Ability to coordinate international regional counsel and function as a central intake for business issue that may have global implications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with the Amazon seller experience
• High-level knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence tools, including large language models and the ability to provide succinct analysis of involved legal issues in a fast-paced, frugal environment
• Ability to identify and address common privacy-related issues for a business segment, including training, risk assessment and working with privacy SMEs to resolve complex privacy issues, including biometrics
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
