Position Summary
Develops and implements Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives supporting our organization’s goal of being “More than a Car Company” by leading all aspects of employee volunteer programs, corporate philanthropy, and Subaru of America Foundation activities.
Major Responsibilities
- Leads our company effort to grow, nurture and strengthen meaningful external partnerships in the Camden, NJ community inclusive of Camden government, local corporations and businesses, and community organizations to drive business needs forward.
- Designs, plans, and manages the corporate giving program. Manages and coordinates grants and funding opportunities. Manages community partnership development and nurtures community relationships, through, among other things, discussions with Subaru of America (SOA) leadership and meetings with community leaders and other like-minded organizations.
- Creates, manages, and administers employee volunteerism programs, including development of activities, management of technology, participation recruitment, and communications strategies.
- Manages SOA Foundation. Develops and implements strategic direction, process flow, and program development including grants, scholarship, matching gifts, and memorial programs. Provides recommendations, support, and guidance to Board of Trustees.
- Manages the drafting and dissemination of communications regarding corporate philanthropy and Subaru of America activities to all stakeholders.
- Creates and manages corporate philanthropy and Foundation budgets and submits for review and approval to supervisor (corporate philanthropy) and the Board of Trustees (Foundation).
- Supports our organizational effort to ensure there are no violations of the SOA Anti-Solicitation Policy.
- Maintains day-to-day relationship with Corporate Social Responsibility vendors and interns to support goals of SOA Corporate Social Responsibility department.
- Creates materials as needed to advance Corporate Social Responsibility knowledge internally.
- Attends events as needed, which may periodically take place at night and on weekends based on event requirements.

- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Strong leadership and staff development skills, ability to effectively manage at least one (1) direct report
- Excellent ability to effectively communicate with all levels within Subaru, our partners, and our communities, both verbally and in writing.
- Highly skilled at cross functional efforts and teamwork.
- Strong strategic skills for integrating our Foundation and other corporate philanthropic efforts with our Love Promise values.
- Understanding of budgeting concepts and guidelines.
- Strong project management and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of operations and legal requirements of a corporate Foundation, community network, and nonprofit operations.
Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with six (6) to eight (8) years of relevant experience
Work Environment
- Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)
- Required Travel: 15%
- Physical Demands: Lifting up to 10lbs.
Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $86700- $123800 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
