Cost Coordinator – Logistics

Description

The Cost Coordinator is responsible for reviewing and validating vendor invoices. The candidate must be able to communicate and resolve issues by working with vendors for any invoice discrepancies. Moreover, the candidate must be able to analyze and simulate Logistics freight charges to highlight opportunities for cost savings or highlight risks.

The candidate must have knowledge of excel skills with a proven experience of working under tight deadlines and delivering high quality results. The candidate should have the ability to work independently, self-motivated, take ownership, and is detail-oriented with Accounts Payable background preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and simulate the cost of freight charges from multiple carriers
  • Verify and check all rates from the invoice match with supporting documents
  • Ensure payments are made on time and resolve aging dispute invoices in a timely manner
  • Be the main liaison to work with vendors for invoice issues
  • Attend weekly meetings with vendors to review account statuses
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality
  • Additional duties as necessary

Required Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • MS Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP
  • General understanding of carrier/freight principles
  • Basic understanding of computer equipment
  • Strong ownership, detail-oriented, and time management skills
  • Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
  • Be able to adapt to changes and accept constructive criticism
  • Supports reporting analysis and project management needs
  • Sense of urgency and able to work overtime when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounting
  • Logistics carrier/freight experience

Working Conditions:

  • Office only: Typically works in an office environment

$17.00-$23.00/hour is an estimated pay range for a Cost Coordinator I
$23.00-$27.00/hour is an estimated pay range for a Cost Coordinator II
$27.00-$32.00/hour is an estimated pay range for a Cost Coordinator III

Pay range does not include bonuses, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off, EAP, and 401(k). The final amount will be determined based on qualifications & experience of the candidate relative to the role.
