Description

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the execution of leadership’s key strategic roadmap items and data strategy, including, but not limited to, new analytics, and product development / product management.
  • Maintaining various business-critical macro datasets, including, but not limited to, those related to public securities fundamentals and performance, market data and indexes, and fixed income valuation and benchmarks.
  • Becoming proficient in Green Street’s public and private market valuation frameworks and database architectures.
  • Support the publication of weekly, monthly, and quarterly research reports by providing the critical statistical elements of the reports.
  • Using SQL / Snowflake to load, manipulate, and analyze large quantities of data in our proprietary databases.
  • Developing innovative approaches utilizing both internally- and externally-sourced data to produce meaningful insights.
  • Collaborating with other research analysts on a wide variety of analytical projects including data collection, statistical analysis, graphical analysis, and report building.
  • Providing efficient and courteous support to our clients and internal stakeholders regarding methodology, modelling assumptions, and data analysis/strategy.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a financial, economic, mathematics, or statistical field. A background in finance and/or solid financial modelling skills preferred (CFA Level I equivalent).
  • 0-3 years of experience in a related field. (#Associate)
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel demonstrated. Knowledge of SQL, statistics, and Bloomberg terminal experience are preferred.
  • Interest in the CFA designation and the real estate industry are a plus.
  • A strong work ethic, initiative, and motivation to learn.
  • Strong analytical / data science skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, and move projects forward in an efficient manner.
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of publicly traded real estate securities, general securities, capital markets or conducting financial/economic research preferred.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal), project management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage all levels across a global business.
  • High level of organizational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively and handle a large number and variety of tasks whilst maintaining accuracy.
  • Authorization to work in the United States now and in the future, without visa or sponsorship requirements.
