Position Summary
Seeking a Curriculum Product Owner who will serve as a liaison between the product team and other functional teams to facilitate curriculum development. This role directly interfaces with Curriculum Product Management, Curriculum Development, Editorial, and Quality Assurance to represent the voice of the customer and is responsible for defining, documenting, and clearly articulating requirements via user stories to the Delivery team.
Reporting to the Director of Curriculum Product Management, the Curriculum Product Owner will use curriculum/product knowledge as well as critical thinking to create and plan user stories for team execution. Also imperative is the ability to ensure successful communication and implementation of all prioritized initiatives, inclusive of their outcomes. It is ideal if the Curriculum Product Owner is experienced in Agile Software Development practices.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts throughout the entire life cycle of the product
- Excellent time management skills including the prioritization of tasks and controlling scope
- Ability to reconcile key stakeholder interests, conflicting priorities, and business strategy as well as influence without formal management authority
- Passion for education and experience working as an educator
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in K-12 online education industry
- 2 – 5 years of experience in an Agile Development environment with working knowledge of the Agile principles
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $75,000 – $85,000.
