Quaker Foods North America (QFNA) is PepsiCo’s foods and snacks manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Since 1877 we at Quaker have been inspired by the goodness of oats. Quaker provides 200 billion grams of whole grains and 25 billion grams of fiber to the American diet and is known for trusted health and wellness foods. Our Quaker Customer Management Manager can be based in Northern or Southern California, with a focus on wholesaler business responsible for the Quaker business at C&S West Coast including Hawaii Independents as well as Associated Foods Salt Lake City, URM Spokane, Gelsons and UNFI West support.
Responsibilities
Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Deliver annual volume, trade spend and profit plan
- On-going analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps to plan and execution
- Lead Annual Operating Plan & Forecast process, collaborating with Finance, Business Units, and Field Sales Manager
- Working with GBS to ensure Financial Event Planners (Prosper) are accurate. Leverage Excel modeling to assess financials, valuation, and alternate scenarios
- Develop annual promotion plan while adhering to Strategic Role of Trade (SROT) guidelines and ensure flawless execution through consistent customer engagement and buy-in
- Make regular headquarter and key indirect buyer calls, identify customer needs/priorities and create fact-based selling presentations
- Ensure customer maintains a strategic product mix through SKU optimization — both new item sell-in and/or SKU reduction
- Actively participate in customer payment processing including financial contracts, performance and collection.
- Manage volume forecasting and communicates forecast in a timely manner to all key stakeholders.
Location:
- Candidates should live in Northern or Southern CA.
- Customer buying offices are in Sacramento, CA, Hawaii, Spokane WA, and Salt Lake City Utah
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $67,200 – $83,000 based on a full-time schedule
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 15% paid out Annually
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and follow up skills
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn insights into actionable plans
- Solid understanding of financials including P&L impact of sales decisions
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Minimum 4 years of sales experience; preferably with a consumer-packaged goods organization
- This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
- Travel: 50%
