Customer Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for a customer technical specialist to help support our TSA contract at PWM Airport in Portland, Maine.

This position will provide advanced technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of Company technical products and programs in support of the TSA DHS Security Mission. Additionally, this role performs Tier III problem resolution on the telephone with users, walks the user through a series of steps to determine problem and classify level, priority and nature of the problems and systems.

Supports development of technical solutions to support client’s requirements in solving moderately complex network, platform, and system security problems. Typical focus areas include analytical and engineering solutions based on federal and industry information security policy, doctrine, and regulations. Responsibilities include secure system engineering and development, including system/security requirements analysis, secure system definition, and specification development of information security policies and procedures utilizing technical and analytical skills. Also designs test beds for advanced information security hardware and software solutions.

Partners with developers and engineers to reduce reoccurring incidents. Provides consultative assistance during off hours as needed. Assist in developing continuous process improvement for support tools, troubleshooting techniques. Provides training to customers.

Qualifications

Requirements and Technical Skills:

  • BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 or equivalent experience.
  • Coordinates moderately complex to complex activities of functional areas or of department account leads to ensure that business solutions objectives are met.
  • Interprets demand forecasts and assists functional areas or departments in planning and delivering end to end services
  • Oversees account specific service problems and the prioritization of work requests
  • Maintain records of expenditures to ensure that costs do not exceed approved budgets. Identifies and escalates issues related to budgetary compliance in relation to expenditures.
  • Assists in developing new business proposals and introducing new technologies to enhance competitiveness of company products and services.
  • Identifies service improvements to increase customer satisfaction. Communicates improvement need to appropriate parties to ensure timely implementation and to maintain client satisfaction
  • Knowledge of infrastructure IT hardware
  • Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures to resolve Hardware/Software incidents and service request
  • Ability to obtain DHS EOD

Target Salary Range

$66,000 – $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
