What You’ll Get to Do:
- Implement, test and operate user interfaces for hardware software integration applications
- Perform on-going code review and implementation enhancements to improve software usability and robustness
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise
- Provide engineering designs for new software solutions
- Contribute to all levels of the architecture
- Maintain technical documentation
- Consult team members on secure coding practices
- Develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices
Qualifications
What You Must Have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- 5 years experience with BS, 3 with MS
- Object Oriented Programming: Python, C, C++, .Net C#
- UI/UX Design: WPF, XAML
- Ability to create, install, and troubleshoot executable files for Windows OS
- Communication Protocols: Serial, USB, TCP/IP
- Hardware controls programming integration and testing
- Ability to read and utilize SDK’s, hardware manufacturer API’s, ASCII/Binary protocol manuals, and other technical programming documents
- Able to work independently with minimal direction to create high performance software programs and recommend improvements or best practices to non-SWE personnel
- Great time management skills
Would Be Nice if You Have:
- Active Secret Clearance
- Knowledge of hardware signal requirement concepts such as CMOS, TTL, LVTTL, PWM, RT/FT/peak detection processing
- Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts as it relates to integrating hardware with controls software
- Knowledge of laser systems, driver hardware, and concept of operation
- Experience designing and implementing complex controls interfaces with various hardware inputs and logic states

Salary Range
Salary Minimum: $57,500
Salary Mid: $115,000
Salary Maximum: $143,800
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
