Dangerous Goods Support Specialist
As a Specialist in Dangerous Goods Transportation, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting
hardware and upcoming technologies to support mapping and imagery for our client.
You will help to build out and maintain the Dangerous Goods Product Compliance Program, classify parts
and be to-go person for any DG related questions within the organization. You will partner closely with
Compliance, Logistics, various Global Support and Regulatory Partners, Purchasing, and Engineering
teams.
Responsibilities Include :
• Create the existing products database, while ensuring all the information is organized, actual and
in one place.
• Review new products and assign proper DG classifications, labeling and transportation
instructions.
• Support development of document strategies to ensure compliance with dangerous goods
• Support regional teams with questions.
• Ensure the appropriate packaging is available at all times.
• Coordinate Drop Tests and renewals of certificates.
• Creation of Audit Program,
• Perform and support internal audits and take the lead on corrective actions.
• Interface with regulatory agencies
• Travel as needed
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $95,000 – $100,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• IATA, IMDG and ADR certified
• At least 5 years of experience in related industry.
• Process driven attitude, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to manage a project with minimum guidance.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort working cross-functionally with Logistics, Purchasing, Product, Engineering, and
Compliance
