Job Description

The Business Intelligence (BI) team within the Data Management & Integration (DM&I) organization of the University of Missouri Division of IT (DoIT) provides services to all four University of Missouri campuses in support of Analytics, Institutional Research, and system integration. The BI team works closely with functional leaders, distributed analytics teams, and other IT teams to deliver the full scope of services needed to support enterprise business intelligence tool and data architecture.

This position is responsible for analyzing data, and developing reports, dashboards, datasets, and data models for the Division of IT. This position also supports and develops reporting solutions for other units as assigned.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Develop business intelligence (BI) and reporting solutions for the Division of IT and other units as needed.

Model data and create data sets to support analysis and reporting efforts.

Develop and support end-user analysis and reporting solutions using BI tools, such as IBM Cognos Analytics and Microsoft Power BI.

Document and maintain developed reports and processes.

Provide technical assistance and analysis to units on BI features, updates, and reporting models.

Perform additional duties with similar skills as needed by the unit.

Salary

$56,864 -$88,730 Commensurate with experience

Grade: GGS 11

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Possesses expanded conceptual knowledge of the data analysis function and broadens capabilities. Possesses knowledge of best practices within data analytics and applies analytical knowledge developed from work experience.

Two years of progressive experience in data analysis or developing solutions in Power BI, Cognos Analytics, and/or other reporting applications. Demonstrated knowledge of data modeling concepts and design techniques. Ability to read and write moderately complex SQL statements.
