Data is a core element of the Recruiting and People strategy at Tesla. We leverage the data from in-house tools to monitor hiring trends, track progress, and optimize system design. We collect and analyze data from homegrown systems to make constant process improvements.
The Recruiting Analytics team is embedded within the Recruiting organization and contributes to decisions made throughout the company. We’re constantly refining our approach to data analysis to help better understand hiring trends and their impact on Tesla’s work. We prioritize building tools using open source software that are custom designed to address internal customer needs provide us the agility to make real-1me adjustments. The Recruiting Analyst will create reporting models that analyze key performance indicators, contribute to the growth of our in-house data tools, and work directly with engineering teams to make system improvements that help the team better serve its customers.
Responsibilities
- Apply a product-centric approach to data and reporting, ensuring discoverability through user-friendly documentation and trustworthiness with rigorous data tests
- Design, build, and maintain data models to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for analysis
- Collect, analyze, and present data from the system when provided a subset of potentially unrelated data points/filters to draw conclusions
- Effectively communicate data analysis to non-technical audiences unfamiliar with the domain
- Recognize patterns to define gaps in the applicant tracking system and drive change at a system level with responsible par1es (end users, system admins, etc.)
- Ensure successful integration with downstream systems and accurate reporting to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- Previous experience working with People or Recruiting teams, or in-depth knowledge of full cycle recruiting
- Prior relational database experience
- Proficiency in SQL and other common query languages
- Understanding of CI/CD workflows and automated testng
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Critical thinking and a first principles approach to problem solving

$68,000 – $234,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
