Job Summary

This position is responsible for the development, implementation, continuous monitoring, and refining of protocols, data collection, and data analysis to ensure efficient operation of SAP, Airsweb/AVA, AVLS, SilentPassenger, Wex, Ward, and other business systems in support of Transformation & Centralized Services (Utility Operations Services – Transportation and Equipment: NERC/CIP, Environmental, Safety, Transportation, Fleet and Materials & Logistics) and company objectives. The position specifically mines and collects data, performs data analysis, performs benchmarking, and uses analysis to identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform business analytics including cost benefit analysis, operational efficiencies, and staffing studies; design, build and maintain business reports including business and program scorecards; and function as a business systems expert in SAP, Airsweb/AVA, SilentPassenger, and other business applications. Provide analytical support on special project teams and safety councils. Participate on six sigma teams.
• Design, build, distribute and refine various operations reports required for regulatory compliance and corporate polices/initiatives, ensuring regulators such as the State of New Jersey, the Federal Government, and other stakeholders are kept up to date with relevant policies, processes and programs.
• Develop, implement, continually monitor and refine the administrative processes required for the efficient, timely and regulatory/contractually compliant flow of information and, ensuring data integrity as well as compliance with regulatory and corporate policies.
• Gather and link data from diverse sources in order to perform analyses, identify trends and correlations, develop and track metrics, identify performance gaps, deliver actionable information and present opportunities for improvement.
• Apply predictive analytics to extract information from existing data sets in order to determine patterns and forecast future outcomes and trends. Experience with predictive analytics.
• Develop, implement, continually monitor and refine business metrics in compliance with regulatory and corporate policies/initiatives. Based on analysis of metrics, work with all areas to determine ways of increasing efficiencies. Develop and implement initiatives to track and achieve efficiencies.
• Support in the transportation group in optimizing the fleet replacement plan aimed at maximizing unit availability & efficiency, minimizing overall costs and meeting fiscal budget targets.
• Perform data quality assurance and integrity as well as develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, presentations, documents, and Tableau data visualization files etc.
• Must be able to lead teams and track milestones for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Designs, develops and delivers standardized databases, forms, queries and reports for capturing, organizing, tracking, retrieving, assembling and disseminating data and metrics from the following:
• Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies within assigned area.
• Interfaces personally with both internal customers such as directors, managers, co-workers, and union personnel, and external customers, such as vendors and business partners, on all transportation matters.

• Central point of contact for rentals for fleet and transportation. Includes developing, tracking, inputting, analyzing, and executing the end-to-end rental process.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Skills:
• A minimum of 3 years of analytical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated organization and high level of analytical and quantitative analysis skills.
• Must possess detailed working knowledge of SAP systems including human resources and material management with an emphasis in work management.
• Proficiency with MS Office Products, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new approaches with applicable tools to measure success.
• Experience in data mining, database development, query and report design, or programming.
• Detail oriented, driven and able to effectively work independently.
• Ability to support thoughtful decisions by gathering, transforming and analyzing data to develop and document conclusions and / or recommendations
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrated experience promoting team effectiveness by soliciting input from team members, communicating expectations of the team and delegating responsibilities while providing support and structure.
• Effective time management, goal setting, manage expectations, adhere to deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work across department boundaries.
• Must have and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record. (Occasional travel to company locations may be required).

Desired Skills:
• MBA or progress towards one. Two to three years’ experience in Transportation, Material and Logistics, Safety, and/or Environmental compliance administration or operations. Experience with Airsweb, SilentPassenger, Sharepoint, AVLS, Wex, Ward, SAP and Tableau.
• Comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations to a variety of audiences and facilitating joint union/management process improvement teams
• Experience in industry benchmarking groups and studies
