The Naval Nuclear Laboratory comprises the U.S. Department of Energy locations and personnel responsible for developing advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation’s naval nuclear reactors, and training the Sailors who operate those reactors in the U.S. Navy’s submarines and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory includes the Bettis and Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories, the Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and the Naval Reactors Facility which have proudly supported the nation since 1946. Job Description
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Data Center Engineer who will support operations at the Knolls Laboratory Data Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering oversight of the Knolls data center resources, specifically focusing on space, power, and cooling systems. The selected candidate will work closely with other site and facility engineers responsible for maintaining the electrical, cooling and mechanical infrastructure at the Knolls Laboratory Site. The Knolls Data Center Engineer will be knowledgeable of applicable data center equipment; will perform capacity planning; participate in design reviews, perform analysis and risk assessment of maintenance activities, operational changes, facility modifications, operating conditions and equipment failure; and will make applicable engineering decisions of all aspects of assigned tasks. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
- BS degree in engineering or Bachelor’s degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years of relevant experience or;
- MS degree in engineering or Master’s degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years of relevant experience

• Demonstrated experience working with Electrical systems

Pay Range
$93,400 – $140,000 annually
