Position Description:

CGI Federal is searching for a Data Center Facilities Engineer that is experienced in the following: Cable Cabinets, Install Cabinets, Nlyte, Data Center Health, Cable Layouts, Cable Plans, HVAC & Electrical Requirements.

***This is an onsite position located in Lakewood, CO. The shift schedule once training is complete with be nights: Thursday – Saturday 7pm-7:30am: Every other Wednesday 7pm-3:30am. Training should be expected to be conducted on day shift for a minimum of 3 months.***

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Research, design and implement security solutions for network infrastructure
• Engineer network solutions for new & existing systems.
• Provide day-to-day network engineering and operations support
• Work with advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.
• Challenge with working on complex technical problems and providing innovative solutions.
• Work with highly experienced and technical resources.
• All other duties as assigned or directed.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 7 years of experience or more working in a data center as part of a 24x7x365 operations
• 7 years of experience working with Data Center HVAC and Electrical power requirements
• 7 years of experience building and running customer cabling
• 6 years of experience installing and cabling racks
• 5 years of experience working with Nlyte
• 4 years of experience working with CAD software documenting Data Center layouts
• 3 years of experience or more working with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools to work Change and Incident tickets within the Data Center
• Experience with:
o Data Center planning with solid electro-mechanical
o Racking hardware
o Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tagging of hardware coming into the facility
o Complete detailed shift change over reports
• Experience Maintaining equipment inventories
• Experience with Space and environmental requirements planning
• Effective communications and customer service
• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of the Data Center Operations Initiative (DCOI)
• Experience providing analysis, resolve network problem situations, and manage ongoing configuration decisions relating to the physical layout of network infrastructure systems

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 – $146,900.
