Data Center Materials Associate II, Corporate IT Logistics – US

Amazon is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to fill a Process Lead position at our IT Warehouse in Seattle. This IT Warehouse supports IT Offices throughout the Seattle area and across the U.S., providing either asset replenishment or procedural support. The Amazon operations team is looking for Lead Fulfillment Associates with a strong record of achieving results to join the expanding team supporting operations leaders and associates in delivering strong operations results within our fulfillment centers. Process Leads hold various roles within the warehouse as needed; including, but not limited to: Trainer, Process Assistant, Subject Matter Expert (SME), and Logistics Coordinator. All role types will include performing production duties as needed: pick/pack orders, receive/stow product, ensure inventory accuracy, and unload/load trucks. Process Leads will also be responsible for communicating instructions to other associates, motivating them to maintain shift productivity, and quality, and keeping their work areas safe!

Key job responsibilities
• Supports managers to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and lead operations associates to complete tasks.
• Drives customer excellence by ensuring inventory is used and shipped in FIFO
• Partners with Area and Shift Manager to meet quality standards by conducting cycle counts and audits
• Allocates labor needs in each process to drive down queues and backlog of work
• Escalates any productivity barriers or excessive downtime
• Collaborates with managers to identify ways to improve department effectiveness implement viable ideas.
• Acts as an associate resource, train associates, and verify compliance associates
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for the processes and as a single point of contact associates in a given process
• Ensures that the necessary equipment is available and in working order to complete assignments
• Ensures successful shift performance, through tracking, reporting, and feedback on associate performance to managers
• Escalates any process defects
• Facilitates training as needed and escalate cross-training needs
• Identifies areas of improvement and drive continuous improvement projects for their area
• Conducts daily audit to ensure area readiness, compliance, and standard work is followed
• Reviews and update POP and standard work documentation for the process area
• Ensures compliance with policies and escalate any breaches
• Performs other related duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of work experience or a current blue badge Amazon employee
• 1+ year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A completed Bachelor’s Degree
• 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others
• 1+ year working in a similar environment (manufacturing/distribution/warehousing/large retail)
• Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $31,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $59,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
