Description
Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation, Facility Services Division is seeking a Data Entry Specialist-EAM Support – Seasonal. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and self-motivated, with effective organizational and multi-tasking skills. Candidate should be a highly motivated and thorough individual that can provide advanced data entry, management, and analysis. Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate superb written and verbal communication skills. Typing speed over 50 WPM is recommended. On-the-job training is provided. Opportunities for advancement available.
This position pays at a rate of $15.00 per hour.
This is a part-time position working ~32 hours a week (flexible days from 7:00 am-3:00 pm).
WORKER CHARACTERISTICS:
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively; work independently; lead others in the unit, analyze processes and provide solutions to issues.
- Knowledge of: Microsoft 365; Enterprise Asset Management System; general office practices and equipment; use of a personal computer.
- Attention to detail and self-motivated; principles and techniques of customer service; complex problem-solving.
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively; organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines; work independently; lead others in the unit; analyze processes and provide solutions to issues.
- Effective organizational and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Examples of Important Duties
- Collect and track daily work tickets and data housed in EAM.
- Editing data, using EAM to help identify errors.
- Provides quality control and quality assurance of data to ensure enforcement of agency policy.
- Quantifying labor and material usage costs of each work activity.
- Provide additional support and information to customers as needed.
- Provide data analysis as requested for supervisors.
- Send brief weekly summaries of tasks to be performed as well as accomplishments and any issues needing resolution.
- Assist with administration, configures user accounts, maintains and updates routines.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- Progressively responsible data entry and management, and administrative; or an equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the applicant’s ability work under a minimum amount of supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience in a customer service environment and analyzing data.

Health Insurance Plans
You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period.
If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office.
Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
