What you will be doing:
This position works within the Department of Health (DOH). The main function of this position is to process all products generated by the Division of Public Assistance’s Eligibility Information System (EIS) and Alaska’s Resource for Integrated Eligibility Services (ARIES). This requires driving a state vehicle to pick up and deliver boxes of forms, disbursing reports statewide, operating hand trucks to move multiple boxes of forms, entering data into spread sheets. This position works closely with another Data Processing technician to cooperatively complete all tasks assigned on a daily basis.

Who we are looking for:The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas of knowledge, skill, and ability:
- Experience with Printing and using large multifunctioning printers.
- Experience Managing Print – prioritizing, starting and stopping queuesfunctions.
- Experience Printing and processing of many different types of forms.

Minimum Qualifications
Six months of experience in either data entry and/or data processing procedures. This experience may include the preparation of input and output materials, involving coding, batching, cataloging, posting and/or reviewing reports while utilizing computer systems and software programs, maintaining disks, control logs and records. This experience may be equivalent to some Administrative Clerk 2 positions with the State of Alaska.
OR
Six months of data processing or data communications equipment operation, repair, or maintenance.
Substitution: College, technical, or vocational training in computer science may be substituted for the required experience. (3 semester or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience).
Special Note:
For some positions in this job class a background investigation including fingerprinting is required.
Willingness to work on assigned shifts.
