A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Must be willing to commute to the Amazon Bellevue office 3 days per week.
- Design and build custom reporting and dashboards to support TES. Run daily, weekly, monthly reports with an ongoing cadence to support the team with data to help with project execution.
- Create reporting and metrics to facilitate analyses and drive data-driven decision making
Own the development and maintenance of new and existing artifacts focused on analysis of requirements, metrics, and reporting dashboards. - Report key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines.
- Deep dive into large data sets to answer key business questions using SQL, Excel, and other data manipulation languages.
- Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, while automating or simplifying self-service support and access to authoritative data sets.
- Partner with execution/business teams to consult, develop and implement KPIs, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.
- Prepare and deliver business requirements reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks.
- Own and perform individual deep dive analyses, including communicating results and implications to leaders.
- Generate weekly and monthly data reports for both internal and external business reviews.
- Learn and understand a broad range of data resources and know how, when, and which to use and which not to use
- Translate complex or ambiguous business problem statements into analysis requirements
- Scale data processes and reports; write queries that clients can update themselves; lead work with data engineering for full-scale automation
- Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
- Excellent writing skills, to create artifacts easily digestible by business and tech partners.
- To support this initiative, you must be able to think strategically, perform dive deep analytics, and communicate effectively with internal and external senior leadership. Excellent communication skills are required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analyst role
- Expert-level skills in writing and optimizing SQL to handle extremely large datasets
- Experience in scripting languages for parsing and data analysis
- Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling
- Proficient and direct experience with one or more major data visualization tools including Tableau/QuickSight/Power BI etc.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field
- Experience leading large-scale analytics projects with BI solutions development using AWS technologies -Redshift, Athena, S3, EC2, Quicksight, etc
- Proven success in designing and implementing ETL Pipelines, Query Performance Tuning, and other data engineering techniques
- Self-driven and able to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and able to effectively communicate with business and technical teams
- Proven problem solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, ability to influence others, and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment

We consider a variety of factors when making compensation decisions and do not hire employees at the highest point of the pay range, targeting around the 50th percentile of the range. We share this to ensure transparency and set expectations for those considering opportunities with us. As you excel at Amplify, there is potential for salary increases and promotions. If you were to remain in this role, there is earning potential for this level of $120,000. The beginning salary range for this role is $90,000 – $110,000.
