Database Administration Advisor

This is a temporary role through Magnit Global with one of the world’s leading health insurance companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring stability, scalability and optimal performance of core & modern UM & analytics platforms majorly based on SQL Server platform(SQL Database engine, SQL Reporting Service, Integration Service , Analysis Services)
  1. Proactive performance monitoring & optimization
  2. Provide Architectural guidance on Scalability, Reliability & Resilience
  3. Maintaining performance at acceptable levels and Reporting performance metrics to leadership
  4. Collaborating with operations/business teams in event of production issues
  5. Collaborating with DEV/EA teams around design changes focused on scalability/reliability/performance
  6. Collaboration with DEV/EA/Operations team during migration/upgrades to ensure availability, reliability & performance
  • Release management
  1. Code reviews
  2. CICD/Deployments
  3. Setting up code review standards and best practices
  4. Good at documenting processes and findings
  • Lead teams to resolve urgent and high production incidents.
  • Lead actions to determine root cause of problems and drive resolution.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Ability to learn new technology and technical products to increase technical skills and expertise

Required Skills:

  • SQL Server,
  • T-SQL Scripting,
  • Troubleshooting performance issues on SQL Server
  • Optimizing T-SQL code
  • .Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field.
  • Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 7-8 years of experience. SQL experience required

Location:

  • Franklin, TN (Flex, Hybrid)

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

  • The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $49.47/hour-$65.96/hour
